Find Healing
We are all conditioned to do the things that we do through our past experiences and past interactions. If we knew something else, then we would do something else. We are all driven by a need for connection or protection. While we may have behaviors or patterns of thought that served us at a previous time, they may now be maladaptive or destructive to our current relationships and lives. It is truly an awakening experience of self-discovery when we learn how we have been impacted by the past and what we desire for our future.

My areas of focus include trauma, grief and loss, sexual and relational issues, faith transitions, religious trauma, and challenges with self-worth and self-acceptance.

Choose A Course
Through open connection and feelings of acceptance we can start processing the pain and suffering from our past. In the safety of that space we can release ourselves from the burdens that we have carried that no longer serve us. We can gain clarity and appreciation or gratitude for ourselves and the people around us. That type of healing allows us to be present and live meaningful lives.

You have the power within you to heal your wounds more than I or any other therapist could. My role is to be a reliable and compassionate facilitator of your healing process.

If you are curious about the types of therapy that I use with clients, I primarily use three main approaches:
  • IFS (Internal Family Systems)
  • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
  • EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing)
I am also trained in the use of the Flash Technique, which is a less intrusive or distressing way to reprocess traumatic events, as compared with traditional EMDR.
What you may have experienced with other therapists.
The most frequent feedback I hear from clients who have had a less satisfactory experience in therapy is that their therapist listened and may have asked questions; however, they did not provide them with insight, skills, or in-depth processing that was considered effective. While there is need for time and space to talk and process through things verbally, there is also a need to learn and implement practices to help make successful changes.

What you will experience working with me.
I will work to understand you, to know what matters to you, and how to best help you.
We will develop a course for your counseling - including achievable goals and frequent review of your progress.
Each session will leave you better equipped or closer to feeling like you are leading the life you wish to live.
